Cara B. Naturally, Skin Savior

Cara B Naturally, you saved my baby this weekend.

Hi ladies, how was your Memorial Day weekend? Mine was kinda traumatic, since my Lina Lina Bobina was hunted down and attacked by a brutal mob of bloodthirsty, toddler-hating mosquitos. Seriously, she’s covered from her curls to her Revlon Seafoam-painted toes. She didn’t let the bites bother her too much, but I freaked out. Her skin is way sensitive and super-prone to redness and irritation, so this was no good. Along with the usual benadryl/neosporin situation, her pediatrician told me I needed to find a new all-natural bath gel for her — the one I was using was apparently doing her skin and bites no favors. Gasp! HOW COULD I FAIL MY DAUGHTER ON ANYTHING BEAUTY-RELATED?

Enter Cara B Naturally’s totally organic, chemical-free, 100% all-natural body and hair products for kids (adults can use them too, obvi, but the extra-gentle situation means its ideal for little ones)! I started using the Shampoo and Body Wash ($11) on Bobina, and not only has the aloe and chamomile-blended formula really helped calm down her inflamed skin, it just feels so much lighter and cleaner than many other “natural” products we’ve tried. Most are so loaded with heavy fragrance (natural scents, yes, but still overpowering) that they break her out. Cara B Naturally, you have fans in Park Slope. Especially since the line thought to include one of the awesomest curl refreshers, ever — the coconut and almond oil-infused Moisturizing Hair Mist ($10), which I spritz on Bobina’s curls in the morning to adorable results. My daycare diva. Win!

Oh no, Poor Lina. Have you tried Aubrey Organics on her? it’s one of my faves.

I really wanted to use that line on my little one, but they contain tree nut ingredients. Many asthmatic/eczema kids are also allergic to tree nuts… But I am glad your little one is feeling better, it sucks to be itchy!

Ohhh you know what? I totally forgot to include that caveat. Yes, Bobina is thankfully not allergic to nuts, but obviously many kids are…and Cara B. does have tree nut ingredients. I’ll add it into the post!
