Daaaamn it’s hootttt. I just LOATHE perspiring. Even my back-of-knees are sweaty (is there an official word for this area?). After an ill-advised outdoor business lunch, Gloria’s cute crimps are now both frizzy and limp — how does that even work? Generally, I look and feel like a wilted flower.
In my beauty experience, I’ve found one thing to be true: there are few things that a lusty, luminous, sun-kissed glow can’t fix. It won’t pay your car note or bring back lost love (whimper)…but a touch of warm, beachy color on cheekbones will instantly rid you of the sweaty summer blahs.
As my Lina Bobina would say, “I’m not a fans” of bronzers. I like the bit of sparkle they provide, but if you’re in the market for a true complexion boost, you need actual color. Right now, Guerlain Terracotta Sun Shimmer Highlighting Blush ($40) is doing it for me in so many ways. This light-as-a-feather cream blush gives good glow like a bronzer, but it’s infused with luscious, outdoorsy color that instantly wake up ho-hum skin. I’m insane over the Spicy Coral shade (Sam Fine once told me that orangey hues give the sexiest, most natural finish on all brown skintones), but the rosy Sunny Pink is super-lovely, too. This stuff is saving me today, honestly and truly. Try it, you’ll love.
