All I want to do right now is wear nude makeup. But not nude meaning barely there. Nude, meaning “on a decadent hippie caravan with Veruschka somewhere in Tangier in 1968.” Nude, meaning “sunburned, wind-whipped, on-safari cheeks…paired with almond-hued lids and toffee lips.” I want to look like a block of Werther’s caramel, spiked with Raquel Welch, featuring a side of 1991 supermodel.
So, that’s what I mean by nude.
I love a pop of color as much as the next makeup obsessive, but I’m sort of getting worn out by it. Nude seems sexier right now. Fresher. And if I’m going to be totally honest, I’m an eensy bit inspired by the neutral, monochromatic matte makeup the Kardashian girls are getting into (I’m sorry, Kim at her wedding and Khloe, like, everyday? Better than they’ve ever looked. Just brows and golden-taupe tones).
My top three favorite products to get the look: Almay Intense I-Color Shadow in Browns, Urban Decay Naked Flushed Blush in Strip, and Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani Sheer Lipstick in Jasper:
All hail beauty nudity!
