Foolproof Flaky Face Fix

Hi ladies! First things first, I really don’t have the words (odd, for a writer) to explain how much your comments, emails and tweets have saved me. It’s quite a thing, to be so impacted by women you don’t even know. And the fact that you think I’m at all inspiring…especially when I’m at my ickiest…is truly a gift. I want to French kiss each and every one of you.  Here’s hoping I remember how.

And now, let’s have some beauty, shall we? So, yesterday I had the wires removed and I’m back to normal (save for two gnarly cuts on each side of my face)!! But here’s the thing. I wasn’t really allowed to properly wash my face for a week. And my skin is super-dry, so left to its own devices, it gets super-flaky, especially around my nose where I stay sunburned, all summer. In short, I have serious face dandruff.

 

 

Enter Malin + Goetz Jojoba Face Scrub ($38), the sexiest, most genius facial exfoliator I’ve tried in ages. It’s a cleansing scrub, so it washes while it exfoliates dead skin cells (I use it in place of my beloved cleansing wipes). It’s chock full of natural jojoba meal, which buffs my skin to a glorious glow without scraping it to death or drying it out even further. And the fresh, citrusy scent makes me so happy.

 

After scrubbing, it’s all about my new favorite multi-tasker, Josie Maran Argan Mini Moisturizing Stick ($14). This itty-bitty, thumb sized stick is basically 100% pure argan oil, which means it’s loaded with antioxidants, vitamin E, and essential fatty acids. I rub it around my nose, and on my cheeks, forehead and chin, then massage it into my skin. Luxurious. Oh…I also carry an extra in my purse at all times for quick fixes for chapped lips, dry cuticles, frizzy hair and ashy Bobina knees. I want to be buried with this stuff. You’ll love!!
